So, Warren Ellis challenges people to create an animated version of The Wire.
Hanna-Barbara is my favorite.

Lazy or Limited Animation?
It's a facinitating look at the animation of Seth McFarlane. I get the feeling that if the writing was stronger, no one would care about the lack of animation. (Everything that's not animated is blacked out.) One of the greatest animated shows ever, Rocky and Bullwinkle, has some of the crappiest animation. Just thought I should point that out.
Here's the article this video came from.

SQUEEEE!
Yes, it's fan made and the music is stupid and the voices aren't great, but still... ANIMATED BONE! IN BEAUTIFUL 2D!
I say again, SQUEEEE!
Oh, and there is a movie that's going to be made, but Smith thinks it's probably going to be 3D.

9
Produced by Tim Burton. It's like The Nightmare Before Toy Story. (Actually, I know nothing about the movie beyond what you see in the trailer.)
But, Bonus: Crispin Glover.

Coraline's Inventive DIY Effects
It's the stunningly inventive DIY visual effects that director Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas) used to bring the story to life. A quarter-million pieces of popcorn are transformed into cherry blossoms, superglue and baking soda are whipped into snow, and black fishing line becomes creepy chest hair.

Monkeys and Gorillaz
So, my lovely wife has recently started a rather Sinocentric blog. She's already made a couple of good finds. Notably, this:
There's apparently an opera in London based on this Gorillaz meets The Monkey King concept. All I have to add is that there needs to be a feature length version of this on DVD. I'd watch the hell out of it.

Two Shorts
A Persistent Vision
Liftoff
Terri Timely: Video Band has made music videos, commercials, and short films, but my favorites are the two that play with animation.
