It works like this: giving small jolts of electricity to single-celled microorganisms known as archea prompts them to remove C02 from the air and turn it into methane, released as tiny "farts." The methane, in turn, can be used to power fuel cells or to store the electrical energy chemically until its needed.

Improving fuel cells through farting!
Maker Faire!
Where all (or most) of my interests collide in one big pile of awesomeness.
Maker Faire Bay Area is at the San Mateo County Expo Center on May 30th and 31st. We will be going on the Saturday, I don't care what I have to do to get there. Tickets are already on sale, and will be at the discounted price until 5/20.
I can't wait! I may have to rent a wheelchair just to haul my butt around without collapsing, but I am SO excited!

I just had to give public props to Elex for delivering the IT Crowd's emergency number on the fly, the other day. If you don't know what I'm talking about go here and be enlightened.
