The World of 100:
This is a self-initiated project based on the scenario – If the world were a village of 100 people. There are a few different versions of this text in circulation about the world’s statistics. I found the data very striking and neatly summarises the world that we live in. So I used information graphics to re-tell the story in another creative way.

The Succession of Texas

Governor Perry of Texas:
"Texas is a unique place," he said. "When we came into the union in 1845, one of the issues was that we would be able to leave if we decided to do that."

Jim Riddlesperger, Political Scientist:
But the Civil War pretty much settled whether a state – even Texas – could secede from the union, said Jim Riddlesperger, a political science professor at Texas Christian University.

That underscores how Perry's statements are basically just political posturing, Riddlesperger said.
